Downtimes usually come in bunches and are typically the result of Comcast shuffling IP addresses. I've had the same IP address at home for several months now. Cons: * no choice for backend ISP * restrictive terms of service, esp. for inbound traffic * as comcast thrives, the provider market shrinks Comcast wants you to be a bandwidth consumer, not a service provider.
