AFAIK Destiny's AUP strictly prohibits the use of an IP Masquerading or
proxy server. OTOH, connecting the cable modem direct to a hub to which
more than one units are connected is okay, albeit the additional cost per
computer.

If you're going to use a Linux box as a gateway, running IP masquerading
then legitimately you're just one computer on the Internet. I don't know
if Ian has found a way to scan for IP masquerading gateways. (Hehehe).
However, you are "breaking the law", going against the AUP you agreed or
will have to agree to comply with.
OTOH if you're going to give each of your additional boxes an IP address,
by connecting the cable modem direct to a hub then I presume Destiny will
know of this and will charge you, plain and simple.
My recommendations:
1. Destiny is supposed to have a "corporate" plan, where you're allowed to
have things like IP Masq servers and proxy servers. Check this out.
2. May SkyCable ba diyan? AFAIK SkyCable doesn't prohibit you from using
an IP Masquerading gateway.
3. Play hide and seek, but be ready to face the consequences.
