If you want to use only one computer to access the Net directly, then set
one Linux box up with two NICs. Connect the cable modem to one NIC of that
Linux box which you will set up as an IP masquerading gateway or proxy
server. It will then be legitimately the only computer connected to the
network, and you will only have one live IP. However this is still
forbidden by the AUP.
