I assume I'm the newest member in this mailing list. Good morning to all.
Frankly, I'm still on Windows 98, my Linux OS soon to be installed,
hopefully, without any hitches -- I got hit by a virus recently that
totally wreaked havoc on my work sked (I am a graphic designer by trade, a
deadline is the bottom line) and the guy who restored my system told me
that the Linux OS is almost hack- and virus-free. How true is this and what
are the odds, if any?
I'm quite illiterate with tech stuff so please bear with me. My PC has 2
physical hard drives; 17GB and 8GB. It's the 8GB I'll be converting to
Linux and retain Windows at the other drive. Someone stop me if I'm about
to do something wrong.
