In setting up remote linux-linux printing, do you need to change some
directory or file permissions in your print server? What does Printtool
mean by a remote queue?

I am using RH 7 for my server and RH 6.2 for the client?

lpq on the client produces:

hostname: warning: lp is down: waiting for queue to be enabled on 10.0.0.1

Here's my client's printcap:

# /etc/printcap
#
# Please don't edit this file directly unless you know what you are doing!
# Be warned that the control-panel printtool requires a very strict format!
# Look at the printcap(5) man page for more info.
#
# This file can be edited with the printtool in the control-panel.

##PRINTTOOL3## REMOTE cdj670 300x300 a4 {} DeskJet670 Default {}
lp:\
        :sd=/var/spool/lpd/lp:\
        :mx#0:\
        :sh:\
        :rm=10.0.0.1:\
        :rp=lp:\
        :if=/var/spool/lpd/lp/filter:

Sorry for this shameless request for help but I need to setup the printer
fast. I promise to RTFM in detail later.

TIA.
