hi holden,
1. check if lpd is running on your server
/etc/rc.d/init.d/lpd status
2. check your if your client is allowed to print
/etc/hosts.lpd
3. to find out your printtool's remote queue
check out what you have under /var/spool/lpd
it's usually just plain 'lp' if you have only one printer
