You can use ProFTPD 1.2.1  instead .

As per CERT advisory on file globbing, the devteam is checking up its
releases to determine vulnerability.  Thus far they are certain though that
1.2.2rc1 is not affected so I'd recommend using that or later versions.

Of course, one can always dump <insert your favorite bug-ridden ftpd's here>
for djb's publicfile  :-)  (and while you're at it, lipat na rin sa djbdns
at qmail)
