hi cyware,
just like your company, we have standardized our design fabs and research logistics
centers on Linux 18 months ago and as such we have been needing Linux training for our
new systems developers and programmers.
for whatever its worth, we have sent and are sending quite a no. of people for
training at the SuSE Training Centers in APC in Makati and here in their Subic
facility.
APC seems to offer competitive rates for corporate training. the latest prices given
to us are as follows
Module 1: 1 day Php1,200 (Linux Installation, Configuration,
Module 2: 2 days Php2,800 Managing User Accounts and Basic Systems
Module 3: 3 days Php4,300 Administration)
Module 4: 5 day Php12,500 (Network Linux Administration)
Module 5: 5 day Php12,500 (Network Administration & InfoSecurity)
Module 6: 5 day Php12,500 (Linux & Win32 Interoperability)
Module 7: 5 day Php12,500 (Linux Groupware on Notes)
Module 8: 5 day Php12,500 (Linux Database Server Administration)
Module 9: 5 day Php12,500 (Linux Clustering & HA Computing)
Module 10: 5 day Php12,500 (Groupware/Database Clustering Administration)
**trainees get the newest SuSE 7.2 distro, shirts and other Linux gear.
for one the training we require need specific inclination to a wide variety of
platforms. we run linux on almost every model of sgi, a big dell server farm, an
S/390, 6 Alpha cluster and our latest aquisition 2 HP9000i on Intel Itanium.
we're on the heavy side of Linux and it helps that SuSE covers every single platform
we have. i dont think there is much difference with a good distro like SuSE apart
from Redhat. anyway, you may email [EMAIL PROTECTED] for discounts and added info.
