A very noble task. Thank you.

This is fairly low-end rate.

A five-day (7hrs/day) training on some single topic about Unix costs
something like 15,000 - 30,000 for historical reasons. The traditional
companies (HP Manila for example) just priced their Linux courses
similarly, because after all, Linux courses are Unix courses. They give
you free merienda, free lunch, nicely printed and bound course notes,
air-conditioned room, supervga Presentation projector, one workstation per
student, local area networking, and reasonably good trainors. In
Singapore, which is Asia's training center, the costs are even higher.

If the courses are given by the traditional computer education houses
like HP, IBM, etc., then they are really expensive. If they are given by
PLUG (remember we used to have those short 1hr tutorials during our
annual meetings?), they are for free.

We should revive those annual meetings. Calling the officers of PLUG!

We need more people like you.
