The IBM drives sold in PCX are (I hope) the Deskstar models. The IBM
Deskstar 75GXPs have been getting good reviews in the US for its low
noise level, reliability, and performance. Actually, I believe PCX
started selling those because of the demand. Prior to their selling it,
there was no major reseller selling such drives, and if there were some,
a limited warranty (of 3 months or less) was almost always a certainty.

Quantum drives have been a good mix with me. I'm not sure if everyone
share's the same sentiments, however. Also, do note that Quantum has
been acquired by Maxtor (I'm not sure when), but I'm not sure if that
would mean anything at all.

I wouldn't know about that. :-)
