Gents,

Need your advise. I'm looking for either commercial or
open-source software on linux that centralizes
account/password authentication across multiple
platforms and OS (MS, linux, AIX, etc.). I sifted
through the plug list archives and saw some of you
folks have been working on OpenLDAP but it seems to be
a work in progress. freshmeat.net doesn't seem to have
any projects about it also. Where I can get more
information if openldap has been successful in
implementing this, maybe a good HOWTO resource link?

I've seen BMC Patrol and Control-SA but could not
attest to its reliability and also the price. Other
commercial software I've found is bionetrix but for MS
platform only. Maybe some other enterprise software
that I haven't heard about is available, and any
recommendations would be helpful.

Thanks,

Art Fernando
