Hmmm... actually, I was also wondering how to do cross-site scripting or whatever the proper term is for integrating data from multiple servers. Say for some reason people want their data on their department's server or something - I suppose I could just pass the credentials... <muses> Which brings me to another question of mine: for this online submission system (and a few other things I might write), I need to prevent unauthorized users downloading files. I've read of two ways to do this - store it outside the webtree and fread it whenever it's requested, or stick everything into a database. Assuming my backend is PostgreSQL (or Oracle, mwahahaha) and the files in question are numerous but not large... what else do I need to know in order to make a better decision? I know Ateneo's going to get Blackboard, but... <shrug> Actually, if anyone's already written/used a nice open-source course management system that they're happy with, do tell! -------------------------------------------------------------------- Sacha Chua <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 3 BS CS Ateneo geek =) Ateneo Cervini-Eliazo Networks (ACENT) tel: 63(2) 426-6001 loc 5925 BOFH excuse #138: BNC (brain not (user brain not connected) _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
