Yes, if it's new. New Server = New OS = free OS. If old, no more maintenance, you don't get the upgrades, you are left with an insecure system, and no one to maintain it (no maintenance contract from vendor). Of course, you and me, we can just grab the updates of the Sun site, and be off with the vendor maintenance upgrade etc.. we can do it ourselves. Other companies cannot afford a new maintenance contract (already spent too much on the machine) or new OS (kahit na discounted). _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
