I doubt that the first owner of the box can afford to let their contract lapse given that it is running their mission-critical apps. I think Ian's approach is more applicable to second-owners like folks who are buying the gear from a 'fire' or a 'dot com bomb' sale :) _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
