I think most Pinoys are just Savannah or Sourceforge members just to 
download sources or join mailing lists.  Is anyone here active in any
project?

Well, that's if you treat the software as a fixed product.
Now, if you see it as a means to deliver services, or solve business 
problems, then the sale goes on even if the software is given away.
