That isn't technically an easter egg. I have seen several variations of 
this, although I do recall it first coming out with MS Windows 95, as it 
was the first MS Operating System that shipped in CDs, if memory serves 
me correctly.

I doubt if it really is true at all -- probably an urban legend, as I 
cannot find ANYWHERE on the Internet that swears the validity of this 
message. I would loved to have seen an actual image of this, although it 
is highly possible that the image could be doctored.

Anyone with a Windows 95 CD who wants to risk it? :D I cannot recall 
whether it was an OEM CD, Upgrade CD (from Win 3.x), or Full Install CD 
that had this. It may be possible to do a hex search on the CD and 
determine whether there is indeed a string pattern that is exactly that.
