If I had to live in a Windoze environment, I'd use Cygwin and the ActiveState tools all the time. But I don't have to live in a Windoze environment. And arguably, I PREFER the Linux desktop to the Windoze desktop. So what is it exactly about the XP desktop that's so compelling over say, a recent GNOME or KDE? the fact you have a Control Panel? chrome? themes? what? .. > (Oh, oops, did I blaspheme again?
