[sorry for the long post]

Hey, guys!

I think I may have found a partial solution to my problem[s] yesterday, this
morning.

Problem: how to redirect email to /home/$user/Maildir file, and have the
server recognize this as the INBOX of the user.

>From the Postfix mailing list, i've found out that the culprit in this case
is the version of imap i was using. They told me to find and download a
patched version of imap. I found imap-4.5-3mdir4.i386 [rpm], installed it
on my system.

Now that that's done, I have a new problem, one that deals with the
pam_pwdb.so pam module. So, I edited /etc/pam.d/imap, commented every line
that references to that pam module.

I also edited my [Postfix's] /etc/postfix/main.cf to uncomment home_mailbox
= Maildir and comment the mail_spool_directory parameter, so that all mails
will go to a user's home directory under the name Maildir [not folder
Maildir, as formerly thought of].

Then as root, i mailed to one of my users.

When I logged in through webmail using my user's username and password,
imagine me jumping up and down [ooops, almost bumped my head there...] when
i found out it is now finally working.

So, that fixes half of the problem. [whew!]

The next step now is to find a way to enable POP for, say M$ Outlook, have
the MUA look for mail from the user's home directory. Any ideas on this?
Can anyone please point me to the right direction?

Thanks a lot for all your help so far, guys... :)
