go to Series N of Yast. Look for and Install the package qpopper. be
sure to make consequent changes in your /etc/inetd.conf.

change 
pop3     stream    tcp   nowait root /usr/sbin/ipop3d       to
pop3     stream    tcp   nowait root /usr/sbin/popper -s   

restart the daemon and you have pop access enabled.
