Oh, cool!!! I was under the impression it was totally different. Thanks

I'm already using LDAP-based user-password storage. It should be alright
for me to simply use another basedn for the "Cyrus people" right? Then I
can set Cyrus IMAPd to listen to a non-standard port, and configure Horde
IMP to allow switching between servers.

Whee!!! Now I have something in mind for a summer project. :) :)
