I don't know why they keep pulling stunts like that.. and in the middle
of a lawsuit! Geez! Thank goodness companies like Dell have the guts to
do something different:

Subject: [plug] [OT] Microsoft invests $2.3M in Waterloo

University of Waterloo, maker of the famous Watcom C compiler, is
getting research grants worth $2.3M (US?) from Microsoft Canada. Read
the article in

http://uwstudent.org/msstory.html

No, Microsoft is not buying the Watcom C compiler to improve its own
Visual C++, but instead is requiring all students of the E&CE programs
to take the C# programming course instead of the
traditional C++ E&CE-150 course.  Talk about arm-twisting!
