Hello Jijo,

Hosting a mailing list is a good option but it does not what the project
needs. The taxpayers' e-mail addresses are not being hosted by the BIR. We
simply have a list of e-mail addresses provided by the taxpayers. For the
pilot implementation, the BIR will ask the e-mail addresses of the first
1000 large taxpayers in Metro Manila. This project is actually in response
to the Land Bank scum.

This project will simply inform the taxpayers that the BIR were able to
received their tax payment. The trigger for this would be their TIN. The
Postfix server will use a Dell Intel based PC and Red Hat Linux. This will
be in a separate machine considering that all of our systems are using
Oracle and Solaris on Sparc Machines, including our Collection and Bank
Reconcialiation System which will be the source of the information for this
project. But the CBR's database (Oracle) and e-mails' database
(MySQL/PostgreSQL) should communicate through the TIN.

Now, it should only be one e-mail address to inform the taxpayers, and
probably it would be [EMAIL PROTECTED] But when the taxpayers send a
question, inquiry, or anything to [EMAIL PROTECTED] including those bounced
e-mails, it will be forwarded to their respective BIR Regional and/or
District Offices' e-mail accounts to make a reply for the taxpayers' message
or inform the taxpayers that their e-mail address(es) were wrong or doesn't
exist already. It should be intelligently identified to which BIR
Regional/District Office does the e-mail belongs because of their TIN.

Thank you very much.
