I did a dict query for the word 'apropos' (which I first encountered in
Lisp class) and got positive results from the Collaborative
International Dictionary of English v.0.44 and WordNet (r) 1.7.1, as
follows:

Of course I do not know if these databases are purely "classic" or
"standard" English. But well, there we go.
