But one would still have to write the tools to
extract/display/manipulate these tags. Why not make the tools work
with any filesystem; use the extra tag feature of those filesystems
that provide for it and an alternative .description type file for
those that don't. The interesting advantage of using a .description
file is that you can use your everyday text editor of choice to do
description updating.
