Aww c'mon. That's a gratuitious comment.

It is completely possible to pass the RHCE exam without using the RHCE 
tools. It will just take you longer ("service nfs stop" -- update 
/etc/rcX.d/* and /etc/xinetd.d/* using "chkconfig service on" are for me 
extremely convenient).

Well I have not taken the CCIE so I don't know how that goes -- but both
of them are performance-based rather than multiple-choice, compared to the 
usual run-of-the-mill MCP, OCA, etc..

Most Linux'es are the same. I submit that one wouldn't be able to pass the 
RHCE if one didn't have all-around experience.
