It stops working after 30 days, then you register again. A minor hassle, I admit, but then there's that thing about a free lunch? If you care enough, you can always mirror RedHat's RPM's and hack up2date so that it connects to you instead of to RedHat. That's the beauty of open source. You bypass RedHat, you take on the headaches of maintaining a fast mirror. Seems fair to me.. .. > > quantify "suck." > > the RPM system becomes circular after many updates. So some packages of mine goes un-updated. rpm -UVH --force --nodeps works fine for me. :)) admitted a somewhat 'dangerous' stunt but not if you know what you're doing. .. > > but tossing out casual "RPM sucks" comments is neither useful nor helpful. > > jeez lets lighten up shall we...i'm harmless! Yeah well. It just annoys me when people go on a rant like that. --- Orlando Andico <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mosaic Communications, Inc. -- Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [EMAIL PROTECTED] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Official Website: http://plug.linux.org.ph Searchable Archives: http://marc.free.net.ph .
