by the way There is a correction, kernel 2.4.26 not
2.4.27...

+ECS Desknote 530 600MHz 256 MB RAM (no active windows
partition, NFS & SAMBA server)

+P4 1.7 MHz 256 MB RAM, Asus MB SIS chipsets (North
bridge & South bridge, 2 HDs 2 CDROMs (3 active
windows partition ---2 vfat/win95/win98 & 1 NTFS)

Slackware 9.1 worked fine.....
