Probably not as much as you used to, but I'd check your manual your
monitor came with and see if it recommend one. Also consider how much
money you spent on your CRT and if you don't mind replacing it if it
gets burn-in. I spent a considerable amount on mine and the manual did
specifically recommend one. There's also the environment. It uses less
power to turn your monitor off if you don't need to look at it.
