Sounds like he came to the information rather indirectly. As such, it is
hardly his place to reveal information the family may prefer to keep
private.

In isn't hard to imagine multiple scenarios where every appropriate
precaution was taken and yet the worst happened anyway. Let's not try to
put ourselves in the position of judge or jury. It's none of our
business.
