But does this fact justify the use of deadly force when serving a
warrant on someone suspected of downloading child porn?  It seems to
me that destruction of one's own hard drive at the first sign of
police, combined with evidence that child pornography had been
downloaded to their location, would be enough to convict - regardless
of whether you recovered any actual porn.
