I've also been running the Linux headless server. Initially it worked fine with no key, but once it had validated my entire collection and I tried adding new music (after ripping a new cd), it wouldn't start anymore and gave me an "Invalid registration key" error in the log file. I subsequently received a trial key (30 days only) from MusicIP and that's got it working, but it's all a bit mysterious as to what should and should not work without a key! Sean.
