Thanks for that. I will look at 1, 2, 3. I think I know what caused 4 and 5. In messing around I noticed in the Control Panel that I had a Proxy Server set, which is wrong, I don't use a Proxy Server, but there were settings in there, which I had not entered. Weird. I cleared the settings, then the repository worked, reinstalled iPlayer Plugin and then BBC streams worked. The only thing I can think of is that I occasionally use a VPN on the server PC to watch US-based movies, and sometimes I forget to reset it.
