I tried to review the change to understand what could happen. It was a while when I did that, so it does not come back easily to me but @erland, would you happen to add ad keep-alive header in your HTTP request?
It's not setting keep-alive. I was wondering whether sending the file as an attachment was causing the problem somehow.
