Are you using the Connect feature? I think that would be a daemon crashing. Or if you skipped in LMS mode from one track to another. I've seen crashes in that situation, too.
The underlying librespot project currently is undergoing major changes, many bug fixes (larger or minor). I'll hopefully have new, improved code ready in the near future.
