Info shows
/usr/local/slimserver/Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins,
/usr/local/slimserver/Plugins, /usr/local/slimserver/Cache/Plugins

I presume this would be different on a MAC.

The folder /usr/local/slimserver/Plugins does not exist on this
installation (PCP).

So I presume that the user would have to create it.
