Setup: new VM running Win 7/64, firewall disabled on the host and the VM itself
I did some network tracing while the authentication was executing, and found the reason for the authentication failure, it's a failed call from a Spotify process. Looks like a web service call to the local machine 30440 For whatever reason, the call fails. Have tried numerous times -resetting the ip address, checking available networks, etc- and it always fails. Looks to me like something on Spotify's side. The call the failed process makes and the payload can be seen here 30441 with the error ConnectionRefused (0x274d). Thanks for the efforts anyway, I will try other things to stream Spotify in order to bypass the Windows mixer. I will keep checking this board for any breakthroughs.
