Solution 1. Change the name *before* putting the file into /usr/local/bin (you don't want to change the name of the original file, so copy it to the desktop, change its name, and then move it into /usr/local/bin).
Solution 2. This is one of the places where what is happening is a Unix issue, but it can be solved using the Mac GUI. The problem is that you don't have write access to /usr/local/bin, as it is owned by system So Get Info on this file, look at the details of ownership and permissions, and change the owner. Now you can rename the file without difficulty. IT IS ESSENTIAL, of course, to change the owner of /usr/local/bin back to system afterwards. I can give more details if necessary. -- danco ------------------------------------------------------------------------ danco's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=210 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=40929 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
