My concerns is that both ZA and NOD32 have inserted themselves into the
Network layers and both monitor outgoing traffic. It is possible that
one app may decide the other app is a Trojan or Worm and so block some
traffic.

I agree but sometime a problem is caused by two components clashing.

I can't think of anything else offhand - I'll review the log again and
check socketwrapper code to see whether the socketwrapper error
messages could have another cause.
