I use both of them, as well as MusicIP, and have no problem. Please install them on a _clean_ installation, without any other plugin. I bet it will work. Then you'll add plugins like LazySearch which actually do influence scanning. I am so sure because I know the two plugins will not even execute one single line of code during a scan. They're completely unrelated to the scanning process.
