1) Yes. If you distribute your derivative to anyone else, it must be under the GPL.** 2) No.** -Peter ** If you could get Adrian and everyone else who contributed code to agree, you could release your plugin under different licensing terms. If you're incorporating much from SlimServer/SqueezeCenter itself, that could be a real hassle. And some projects release source under different licenses (e.g., Perl can be considered as released under any version of the GPL, or Perl's Artistic License) -- but if Adrian only specified the GPL, then you cannot release a derivative under another license without obtaining the appropriate IP agreements from him & other contributors. -- peterw http://www.tux.org/~peterw/ free plugins: http://www.tux.org/~peterw/#slim AllQuiet BlankSaver ContextMenu FuzzyTime PlayLog PowerCenter/BottleRocket SaverSwitcher SettingsManager SleepFade StatusFirst SyncOptions VolumeLock ------------------------------------------------------------------------ peterw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2107 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48521 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
