I rang Plusnet and they said I should use something called WireShark
(available from their web site) to capture packet information and then
open and issue and send them the logs.

I haven't had time to do that yet.

The BBC wma streams seem much better but I do get the occasional "lost
connection" where I just have to restart the stream to get any joy.

We have Nildram ADSL at work and I listened to radio 4 for two hours
yesterday, and no stutters at all.

If you like conspiracy theories, PlusNet were the first ISP to report
that the BBC iPlayer had increased their bandwidth usage a lot (but on
the other hand we pay for bandwidth why should this matter to them?).

Newnet (who I used to be with, say they do no shaping/throttling at
all).
