So to summarise some of the posts above: - we would like an author field per repro entry. I suggest this is free text, but authors would normally be"Name, email" - we would like a plugindir command line option to change the location plugins are installed in. Are we ok with still downloading to Cache/DownloadedPlugins? - sorting seems complex and people want multiple things - need some more discussion on this - we would like to store the installed plugins, incase the Cache folder is wiped. Is this still relavent if we have the install locaton? If so what do we want to happen if a plugin is deleted without using plugin installer - should it give you a list of previous plugins for reinstall or try to do it automatically (I would probably avoid this)?
@Phil I think support should be asking people to use Michael's cleanup script now. This has options to remove portions of the cache folder and the whole folder, but I hope the main use will be to remove the filecache. @Erland I tend to develop in ~/Plugins and then package into a zip for installing via the installer.
