I was wondering about upgrades, too. You could do that with another checkbox column, but I think it would be better to list available upgrades separately from (above/before) the full list of available extensions -- chances are good that users would want to keep up-to-date, but would seldom peruse the full list of extensions. Also the description for updates might differ from the main table -- the main table might pull from the installed plugin but the upgrade description *should* come from the repo, in order for authors to do as Erland suggested and publish details about what's changed within the repo XML. It'd be nice if the main page also highlighted the fact that upgrades are available, much like the current "A new version of SqueezeCenter is available..." message. Such a message could be brief and merely link to the extension downloader page. -Peter -- peterw http://www.tux.org/~peterw/ free plugins: http://www.tux.org/~peterw/#slim AllQuiet BlankSaver ContextMenu FuzzyTime KitchenTimer PlayLog PowerCenter/BottleRocket SaverSwitcher SettingsManager SleepFade StatusFirst SyncOptions VolumeLock ------------------------------------------------------------------------ peterw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2107 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=54805 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
