Yes, that's like I would like to have the menu structure.

When I remove the TRACKNUM sort tag from the GROUPING level the tracks
are not sorted by "album asc, disc asc, tracknum asc". I tried that but
the sorting was then mixed up. Further, I set TRACKNUM as sorting tag at
the GROUPING level since I want the GROUPING level not being
alphabetically sorted (which it would be without sorting tag) but
sorted in the order of the TRACKS, i.e. the order of the GROUPING
(work) names should be as on the real CD. Assume e.g. that in the
example for some reason the work order on the real CD is Sonata No. 2,
Sonata No. 1, Sonata No. 4, Sonata No. 3, then the alphabetical sorting
order would not match the order on the CD.

By using TRACKNUM as sorting tag on the GROUPING level it seems that
always the TRACKNUM of the first track of each group of tracks having
the same GROUPING tag is used for sorting the entries on the GROUPING
level, which results exactly in the sorting order for the GROUPING
entries as in the real CD. That's why I use the TRACKNUM as sorting tag
on the GROUPING level.

However, since multi disc albums are not compatible with this approach,
I have now decided to manually take care for multi disc albums, i.e. I
will put at the end of the album tag of multi disc albums manually CD1,
CD1 etc.

During the testing of the last days I found, however, one small bug (?)
in CustomBrowse related to the sorting issue. If TRACKNUM is only set
with ONE digit for 1-9 and with TWO digits only for 10 and above it
seems that in CustomBrowse the sorting is not correct. I have an album
on which the first 2 tracks are movements of a first work, the 3. to
15. are movements of a second work and the 16. is a single movement of
a third work. When TRACKNUM of tracks 1-9 are set as single digits
(1-9) sorting on the GROUPING level is
WORK1
WORK3
WORK2
which probable results from the fact that the sorting is done by the
TRACKNUM of the respective FIRST track of each work, i.e. by track no.
1 for work1, track no. 3 for work 2 and track no. 16 for work 3. So it
seems that track no. 16 is sorted BEFORE track no. 3 in this case
(since the 1 of the 16 is sorted before the 3).

I then changed all TRACKNUM to be of two digits (01-09 and 10-16) and
then sorting on the GROUPING level is correct (WORK1, WORK2, WORK3).

So I assume CustomBrowse should fill TRACKNUM with leading zeros for
sorting that all tracknumbers have the same number of digits. At the
moment I will tag all my tracks with two digits tracknumbers but it
would be great if that could be fixed in CustomBrowse.

Thanks a lot
Dieter

PS:
Only for completeness, I mentioned that (Disc 1) is not shown when the
"show multi disc albums as separate albums" option is set since I was
not clear which of the two options I will use. So this extension is not
shown in the Mixed Tags menu but since I have now decided to take care
manually for multi disc this is no longer important to me (but if
someone else will use this function he will miss the (Disc 1)
extension).
