bpa, thanks for your advice. I'm very impressed with your ability to correctly diagnose my problem! I have now determined the following. The stereo mix of my soundcard (HT Omega Striker7.1) is indeed streaming at 48Hz rather than 44.1Hz. This has nothing to do with SC or the WaveInput plugin. There is a dropdown box for stereo mix where I can choose 44.1 or 48, but the problem remains regardless of which one I choose. I tried rebooting and this didn't help either. Strangely, it just seems to be stuck at 48Hz. I suspect this may be due to the interaction between my soundcard and Vista, as I used the same card on my XP machine without problems. I would like to try my onboard stereo mix (rather than the HT Omega), but I've not yet been able to figure out how to do this. Again, thanks a lot for your advice. If you have any other ideas then I'd surely appreciate hearing them.
