The problem is how the iPhone's behavior is defined: With "normal" applications iPhone is supposed to shut down WiFi after 30min to save power. There is a "UIRequiresPersistentWiFi" parameter for your app settings that indicates that the App will always require WiFi to be enabled and turn off that power saving mode. However, it also has the unfortunate side-effect of disabling any 3G communication so that you can ONLY use WiFi. Since this is a compilation flag, there's no way to make a setting out of this so I would have to deprive iPeng permanently of it's remote communication capabilities which (anticipating playback) I cannot do.
