Since it was published, I’ve had a few attempts at using the TunerPlay
plugin with a DVB-S card.
All have failed at the point I try to get VLC to recognise the cards, a
TechniSat SkyStar 2 PCI (or a Hauppauge WinTV Nexus-S).
According to the VideoLAN Wiki Hardware compatibility list,
http://wiki.videolan.org/Hardware_Compatibility_list , there wouldn’t
appear to be a DVB-S card that’s supported by VLC on Windows (I’m
running XP Pro or WHS) though there are a few DVB-T cards that are.
So, is this the end of the road, or has someone had any success with
DVB-S cards and VLC on Windows?
