Guys it's definitely possible to get this working and MiP is not buggy as far as this discussion is concerned - I have found it rock solid. Likewise MiP integration into SBS is rock solid for me, using an XP shortcut to a drive or the drive directly as a music folder.
One thing - I do NOT have ANY watch folders setup in the MiP win GUI. I always add music manually to MiP. You should try this.
