I found a long USB extension lead to get RS2 away from PC is useful for reception as PC are often hidden away.
To use external antenna all you need is a cable inserted into headphone socket of RS2. I tested the external using a standard audio cable ( I think with 2.5mm plug) and with one end cut off and a length of wire attached.
