It's interesting that you can't charge for upgrades. That doesn't
really motivate developers to continually improve their apps on an
ongoing basis. The "in-app-purchase" scenario sounds cumbersome.

Regarding the iPod Touch playlists - thanks for the info on the "on the
go" playlist. I guess the current situation is better. I still have
one question though - how do you play a playlist? The only option I
see is to shuffle it, which I don't want to do. And when I do shuffle
it, it only plays from one of the albums I added to the list. Also, is
there a way to add music to the playlist as it is playing? The manual
is totally useless in this regard :-(.

I suspect the answer to these questions is "no" because I notice that
there are a fair number of apps out there for playlist management.

I'm really surprised at how the iPod Touch feels like a 1st gen
product. Reading about the OS 4.x update, it seems like a mess. Rapid
battery drain issues seem rampant since the most recent update.
Hopefully Apple straightens it out sooner rather than later.

Fortunately iPeng runs like a champ despite the OS 4.x issues.

Thanks!
